Kris Jenner’s MasterClass: An Honest and Thorough Review

Last updated: October 2026. Written by Josh Hutcheson. See our review methodology.

The verdict: Kris Jenner On The Power of Personal Branding is a 12-lesson, 2-hour-33-minute class that walks through a simple branding sequence (story, audience, social media, visuals, money) using the Kardashian Jenner family as the case study. It is motivating and well organized, but light on step-by-step tactics, and almost a third of its running time is a single bonus Q&A. Worth it for aspiring creators and small-brand founders who like learning from a story, and only as part of a MasterClass membership you will use for more than this class.

Our rating: 3.5/5  |  Best for: new creators, personal-brand builders  |  Lessons: 12, 2 hr 33 min  |  See the class (30-day guarantee) →

Kris Jenner’s MasterClass is a personal-branding class taught by the manager, or “momager,” of the Kardashian Jenner family. It is sold only as part of a MasterClass membership. We reviewed it from the full lesson plan and MasterClass’s description of each lesson, read on 13 October 2026. Below: what each lesson covers, what it costs, who it suits, and where it falls short.

Kris Jenner is the matriarch and manager of the Kardashian Jenner family. She became famous through Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which ran for 20 seasons from 2007 to 2021, and the family moved on to The Kardashians in 2022. She has managed the careers of her daughters Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, and has been closely involved in family brands including Kylie Cosmetics, Skims, Good American and 818 Tequila, according to her Wikipedia profile.

MasterClass’s own description puts it this way: “With an empire that spans clothing lines, a billion-dollar makeup company, and 14 successful shows, Kris Jenner has become more than the matriarch of one of the world’s most influential families.” Whatever you think of the family, few people have turned attention into businesses as deliberately, and that is the subject of the class.

What the class promises

MasterClass says the class will show you “how she cut through the noise, built lasting fame, and turned a vision into reality,” and pitches it as a personal-branding class rather than a business or marketing course. The structure follows a sequence anyone can apply to their own brand:

  • Story: work out what you want to say and how you want to present yourself (lessons 2 and 3).
  • Audience: decide who you want to attract and how to connect with them (lesson 5).
  • Channels and visuals: social media, visual messaging, hashtags and logos (lessons 6 and 7).
  • Money: sponsored posts, brand collaborations and your own products (lessons 8 and 9).
  • Fame: what happens when it works, with Khloe Kardashian (lesson 10).

The rest is the Kardashian story itself: her childhood, the start of the reality show and the family’s product brands, which serve as case studies for each step.

Lesson titles, running times and descriptions come from the class page on masterclass.com, read on 13 October 2026. MasterClass re-edits and renames classes from time to time, so check the class page before you plan around a specific lesson.

Two things stand out in the running times. First, the core teaching lessons are short: most run 9 to 13 minutes. Second, the bonus lesson, a 47-minute live Q&A with Kylie Cosmetics’ Chief Brand Officer Jennifer Cohan, is almost a third of the class. Without it, the teaching runs about 1 hour 46 minutes. The class also comes with a downloadable guide that MasterClass describes as covering “personal branding concepts and best practices—including a special section on social media.”

How much does Kris Jenner’s MasterClass cost?

MasterClass plan Annual price Monthly equivalent
Standard $120 a year $10/month, billed annually
Plus $180 a year $15/month, billed annually
Premium $240 a year $20/month, billed annually

Every plan includes every class, Jenner’s included. MasterClass does not sell single classes: the class page offers the membership (“Get this class and 200+ more”), so the real question is whether you will use more than one class in a year. We read these prices from MasterClass’s checkout on 13 October 2026, when no sale was running. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers first-time purchases made on the MasterClass website; renewals and memberships bought through Apple or Google follow those stores’ rules (our cancellation and refund guide has the steps).

If you are not in a hurry, wait for a sale. MasterClass took 50% off annual memberships for Black Friday in both 2024 and 2025, and our Black Friday tracker follows this year’s offer. A gift membership works too, but it renews automatically after its first year unless the recipient turns renewal off. The full plan comparison is in our MasterClass pricing guide.

Key lessons worth your time

Start with the story, not the platform

Lesson 2 is the foundation of the class: before posting anything, decide what you want to say, how you want to come across and how you will project that. It is simple advice, but most new creators start the other way round, with a platform and a posting schedule.

Pick the audience on purpose

Lesson 5 argues that the audience you choose shapes everything else, and that connecting with those followers, not just accumulating them, drives growth. If you are building a small brand, this is the lesson to watch twice.

Treat visuals as part of the brand

Lesson 7 covers memorable visual messaging, hashtags and logos. It is the closest the class gets to brand-design practice, though it stays at the level of principles.

Know the ways a brand earns money

Lesson 8 lays out three routes: sponsored posts, brand collaborations and products of your own. Lesson 9 shows the third route through the family’s product launches. One caution the class does not dwell on: in the US, the FTC expects influencers to clearly disclose paid brand relationships, so if you start doing sponsored posts, learn the disclosure rules first.

Plan for what success costs

Lesson 10, with Khloe Kardashian, is about handling fame and its pressures. It is the most personal lesson and a useful reminder that a personal brand is attached to a person.

Putting the class to work: a one-week plan

The class is easier to get value from if you act on each lesson as you go. Here is how we would pace it for a new creator or a small brand. This is our suggestion, not part of the class.

Day Watch Then do this
1 Lessons 1 to 3 (about 28 minutes) Write a one-paragraph brand story: what you stand for, who you help and how you want to come across.
2 Lesson 5 (12 minutes) Describe your target audience in three sentences. Name two accounts or brands that already reach them.
3 Lesson 6 (11 minutes) Choose one main platform. List three kinds of posts that fit your story and three you will avoid.
4 Lesson 7 (9 minutes) Pick a color palette, a type style and a short tagline, and use them on your next five posts.
5 Lessons 8 and 9 (about 24 minutes) Decide which earning route fits you first (sponsorships, collaborations or a product) and what you would need to get there.
6 Lessons 10 and 11 (about 14 minutes) Set boundaries: what you will and will not share publicly.
7 Lesson 12, the bonus Q&A (47 minutes) Note the questions closest to yours and adjust the plan.

The plan takes under three hours of viewing in a week, which is the strongest argument for the class: it is short enough to finish and structured enough to act on. Where it runs out is in the next step, measuring what works. For that you will need a more tactical course or plenty of trial and error.

Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

  • A clear sequence. Story, audience, social, visuals and money is a sensible order, and each lesson is short enough to act on before the next.
  • Real case studies. The family’s brands are the examples throughout, so you see the ideas applied at the largest scale there is.
  • Engaging delivery. Jenner is a natural presenter, and the class is easy to watch.
  • Inside access. The lessons on the start of the reality show and on handling fame are material you will not find in a standard marketing course.

Weaknesses

  • Light on tactics. The lessons stay at the level of principles and encouragement. There is little on content calendars, analytics, pricing a sponsorship or negotiating a brand deal.
  • Hard to relate to. The examples come from a family with global fame. A small business owner has to translate every lesson down by several orders of magnitude.
  • Platform advice ages quickly. Social platforms change their features and algorithms often. Take the principles from the class and check any platform-specific tip against current guidance.
  • Uneven length. With the 47-minute bonus Q&A removed, the teaching is under two hours.
  • Authenticity is a debated example. The class presents the family brand as built on authenticity. Many viewers will disagree, and critics of the family will find that framing hard to accept.

Who should take it, and who should skip it

Take it if you are

  • A new creator or influencer who wants a simple framework for defining a brand and an audience.
  • A founder of a small consumer brand who wants to think about the person behind the brand.
  • A fan of the family who wants the business story behind the show.

Skip it if you are

  • A marketer looking for practical social media tactics, analytics or paid growth. A structured course from our personal branding courses or branding courses guides will teach more.
  • Someone who dislikes the family. The whole class is built on their story.
  • Someone who would join MasterClass only for this class. It is too short to carry the membership on its own.

How it compares to other MasterClass business and branding classes

Class Lessons / running time Best for
Kris Jenner On The Power of Personal Branding 12 / 2 hr 33 min Personal branding and audience
Sara Blakely Teaches Self-Made Entrepreneurship 14 / 3 hr 30 min Taking a product from idea to market
Chris Voss Teaches the Art of Negotiation 18 / 3 hr 4 min Negotiating deals, including brand deals
Diane von Furstenberg Teaches Building a Fashion Brand 17 / 3 hr 7 min Building a fashion label
Bob Iger Teaches Business Strategy and Leadership 13 / 2 hr 11 min Brand and strategy at a large company

Lesson titles, running times and descriptions come from the class page on masterclass.com, read on 13 October 2026. MasterClass re-edits and renames classes from time to time, so check the class page before you plan around a specific lesson.

If your goal is to earn from a personal brand, Jenner plus Chris Voss is a practical pairing: Jenner on what to build, Voss on how to negotiate the deals that follow (see our Chris Voss MasterClass review). Sara Blakely’s class is the better pick if you are launching a physical product. For the full catalog, see our best MasterClass courses ranking.

Is Kris Jenner’s MasterClass worth it?

For the right viewer, yes, with limits. The class gives a clear, well-paced framework for a personal brand and an unusual view inside the family that made personal branding a business. It does not give you the detailed tactics a working social media manager needs, and its examples are far from the scale most viewers work at.

We rate it 3.5/5. It is worth watching inside a MasterClass membership, ideally alongside Chris Voss or Sara Blakely, and within the 30-day guarantee window if you are not sure. It is not worth joining MasterClass for on its own. For a broader view of the platform, see our full MasterClass review or our worth-it analysis.

What MasterClass members say, and how to avoid the renewal surprise

On Reddit, the most-read thread about this class (r/KUWTK, 2022) is skeptical rather than first-hand: commenters doubted Jenner would reveal real behind-the-scenes business information, and some assumed you could buy her class on its own. Both doubts are fair to raise. The lesson plan is about principles (your branding story, your audience, social media, visual storytelling, ways to monetize) plus case studies of the family’s brands. No lesson is about contracts, deal terms or how the family’s businesses are run day to day. And there is no single-class purchase: the class comes only with a membership.

MasterClass’s Trustpilot page had a TrustScore of 1.6 from 1,178 reviews when we read it on 13 October 2026. Trustpilot itself notes that MasterClass has not invited customers to review recently, so the page leans toward people with a problem. We read the 60 most recent reviews (March to September 2026). 49 gave one star, and most of those were about billing, not classes: an annual membership that renewed automatically, trouble finding where to cancel, support handled by an AI chatbot, and 50% refund offers after a renewal had gone through. Several people who received a gift membership said activating it asked for a card that would renew. The content complaints that did come up said classes felt basic or like a long TED talk. The few happy reviewers praised the instructors and the production, and the most useful advice came from one of them: pause, take notes and treat it like a class, not a show.

None of that is specific to this class, but it should change how you buy:

  • It is an annual charge. The class page says “Starting at $10/month, billed annually”: the monthly figure is the yearly price divided by twelve, and the membership renews each year until you cancel the renewal.
  • The refund window is 30 days. MasterClass’s FAQ says it offers a full refund within 30 days of the date you bought the subscription, and that there are no refunds for partially unused membership periods.
  • Cancel the renewal early if you only want one year. MasterClass says you cancel renewal on the Settings page of your account, and the membership will then not renew. Doing it the day you join, or putting the renewal date in your calendar, avoids the most common complaint above.
  • Certificates are extra. MasterClass Certificates are a separate product with their own price, not part of the membership.

Our MasterClass cancellation guide walks through the steps, including memberships bought through Apple or Google, which those stores handle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Kris Jenner’s MasterClass worth it?

For new creators and small-brand founders who like learning from a story, yes, as part of a MasterClass membership. It gives a clear framework (story, audience, social media, visuals, money) but few step-by-step tactics, so it is not worth joining MasterClass for on its own.

How long is Kris Jenner’s MasterClass?

12 lessons and 2 hours 33 minutes, according to the class page on 13 October 2026. The last lesson is a 47-minute bonus Q&A, so the core teaching runs about 1 hour 46 minutes.

What does Kris Jenner teach in her MasterClass?

Personal branding: building a branding story, choosing your audience, social media, visual storytelling, ways to monetize a brand, and case studies on the family’s product brands. Khloe Kardashian joins one lesson on handling fame.

How much is Kris Jenner’s MasterClass?

MasterClass does not sell single classes. Memberships cost $120, $180 or $240 a year (checkout, 13 October 2026), and every plan includes Jenner’s class and the rest of the catalog.

Is there a workbook with Kris Jenner’s MasterClass?

Yes. MasterClass includes a downloadable guide to personal branding concepts and best practices, with a section on social media.

Is Kris Jenner’s MasterClass good for small businesses?

For the brand-building mindset, yes; for tactics, less so. The examples come from a globally famous family, so a small business owner has to scale every lesson down, and there is little on analytics, budgets or paid growth.

Can I get a refund if I don’t like it?

MasterClass offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases made on its website. Memberships bought through Apple or Google follow those stores’ refund rules.

Does Kris Jenner share real business details in her MasterClass?

Some, at a high level. Lesson 9 is a set of case studies on the Kardashian Jenner family brands, and lesson 8 covers ways to monetize a brand, but no lesson covers contracts, deal terms or the day-to-day running of the businesses. Expect principles and stories, not numbers.

Can I watch Kris Jenner’s MasterClass for free?

Only for a short time. The class page has a free trailer, and MasterClass’s FAQ says memberships include 14-day Guest Passes that members can share with friends, so a friend who is a member can give you two weeks of access. Memberships themselves have no free trial; the 30-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases is the closest thing. We don’t link to the unofficial uploads and downloads that show up in search results.

Does MasterClass renew automatically, and how do I cancel?

Yes. Memberships are billed annually and renew each year until you cancel the renewal, which you do on the Settings page of your MasterClass account. MasterClass offers a full refund within 30 days of purchase, but its FAQ says there are no refunds for partially unused membership periods, so cancel the renewal before the renewal date if you don’t want a second year.
