How we reviewed it
We have not taken this bootcamp. This review evaluates it from Springboard’s published curriculum, tuition and money-back guarantee terms, all read on 8 October 2026, together with student reviews on Trustpilot, and compares it with the cheaper routes into a data analyst job. OnlineCourseing has a paid partnership with Springboard; it does not change the verdict.
The Springboard Data Analytics Bootcamp is a six-month, part-time online program built with Microsoft. It pairs you with a mentor and a career coach, takes you through Excel, SQL, Python and Tableau, and ends with two capstone projects. It costs $8,900 paid upfront ($11,300 list) and comes with a money-back guarantee if you do everything required and still do not land a qualifying job.
The question most readers bring here is whether that is worth around $9,000 when certificates teach the same tools for a fraction of the price. The honest answer depends on two things: whether you need structure and accountability to finish, and whether you qualify for the guarantee. This review covers both.
QUICK VERDICT
Bottom line: Worth it for working professionals who want a guided, mentored switch into data analytics and qualify for the money-back guarantee. Not worth it if you learn well alone, are only exploring, or lack a bachelor’s degree, because the guarantee is the main thing the premium buys.
- Price: $8,900 upfront, $11,300 list; $1,000 off with code OC1000SB
- Length: 6 months part-time at 10 to 15 hours a week
- What you get: Mentor, career coach, 33 mini-projects and 2 capstone projects
- Guarantee: Full refund if you meet every requirement and do not land a qualifying role; a degree is required
- Skip it if: You can study on your own; a subscription certificate covers the core tools for far less

Who the bootcamp is for, and who should skip it
Springboard sets a clear bar on its program page: strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and two years of professional work using Office or programming tools. In practice that describes its target student well: someone already in a job, often working with spreadsheets, who wants to move into a data analyst role without quitting work.
Complete beginners are not shut out. Springboard offers a Foundations to Core program at no extra cost that builds structured thinking and data-visualization basics before the main curriculum. Expect that to add time to the six months.
The bootcamp is a good fit if you are changing careers into data analytics, you know from experience that you finish things better with deadlines and someone checking your work, and you qualify for the money-back guarantee.
It is probably not for you if you only want to learn some SQL or Excel for your current job, you are a disciplined self-learner, or you do not hold a bachelor’s degree, which rules you out of the guarantee for this track. In those cases the cheaper options later in this review get you the same core skills.
How the bootcamp works, week to week
Springboard runs the bootcamp online and asynchronously: there are no fixed class times, so you work through the units on your own schedule within the six-month window. A typical week combines three things.
- Coursework. Readings, videos and exercises for the current unit, followed by a mini-project you submit for review. At 10 to 15 hours a week, most students fit this around a full-time job in the evenings and on weekends.
- Mentor calls. Regular one-to-one calls with your mentor, a working data professional, to review your projects, unblock problems and talk through how the work is done on the job.
- Support between calls. A student advisor keeps you on schedule, and the student community gives you peers to ask when you are stuck between calls.
Career coaching runs alongside the technical work and takes over after you finish the coursework. Your coach prepares you for the job search and then keeps you on track through the job search period that the money-back guarantee is measured against, including the weekly application and networking milestones. Springboard provides career services to every student, whether or not they are eligible for the guarantee.
The structure is the product. Plenty of people who start a self-paced data course never finish it; the deadlines, the mentor reviewing your work and the advisor checking in are what Springboard is selling on top of the curriculum. If you already finish what you start, you are paying for support you may not need.
Springboard Data Analytics syllabus
Springboard lists the main units on its program page. In order, the curriculum works through:
- Structured thinking. Problem-solving frameworks, case studies and problem-statement worksheets, so you analyze data to answer a business question rather than for its own sake. This is the part most self-taught courses skip, and it is what interviewers probe.
- Microsoft Excel. Data analysis in spreadsheets, which remains the most common tool in analyst jobs.
- Data visualization. Building dashboards and charts in Tableau, with optional Microsoft Power BI, including preparing data and the basics of DAX formulas.
- SQL. Pulling data out of relational databases, the skill most analyst job postings ask for.
- Python. Cleaning and reshaping data in Python.
- AI for data professionals. Newer units on using AI tools in analysis work.
- Capstone projects. Two larger projects that pull the skills together into portfolio pieces.
Analytics or data science? The two are often confused. Data analysts answer business questions with data that already exists: what happened, why, and what to do about it, usually in spreadsheets, SQL and dashboards. Data scientists build models that predict or classify, which takes much more Python, statistics and machine learning. This bootcamp trains the first role. It is the more common entry point, and many analysts later move into data science once they are working with data every day.
That coverage matches what entry-level data analyst roles ask for. Springboard also has newer AI units, which most certificate courses do not yet have. Python is covered for data cleaning rather than in depth, so if you are aiming at data science rather than analysis, the Data Science bootcamp or a Python-heavy course is a better fit (see our Udacity Data Scientist review for one option).
Projects and portfolio
The bootcamp is built around doing: 33 mini-projects through the units and two capstone projects at the end. That matters because a data analyst portfolio, more than any certificate, is what gets interviews. A good capstone shows an employer that you can take a messy dataset, ask a sensible question, analyze it and explain the answer.
The mentor is the other half of the value. You meet regularly with a working data professional who reviews your work and answers questions. Student reviews on Trustpilot repeatedly single out mentors and career coaches as the best part of the program. They also show the friction: in a September 2026 review, a student described an assignment rejected repeatedly by graders after their mentor had approved it. Expect some back-and-forth on submissions, and ask your mentor to help you read the grading rubric.
Cost and duration of Springboard’s Data Analytics course
Springboard lists four ways to pay on its program page (checked 8 October 2026):
| Payment option | What you pay | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront | $8,900 | $2,400 off the $11,300 list price; the cheapest route |
| Month-to-month | $1,798 a month | Pay only for the months you use, up to 6; about $10,788 over 6 months |
| Climb Credit loan | $11,300 + interest | Deposit of $500 to $700; payments during and after the course for 33 to 36 months; US residents only |
| Reader discount | $1,000 off | Code OC1000SB when you apply through our Springboard link |
On time, Springboard describes the bootcamp as six months at 10 to 15 hours a week, about 260 to 390 hours in total. The month-to-month plan rewards finishing early: if you complete in four months, you pay for four. The upfront plan is the better deal if you are confident you will finish, because it is cheaper than even five months of monthly payments.
Before you choose, check two things with admissions: which payment plans keep you eligible for the money-back guarantee, and how the discount code combines with the upfront price. Springboard confirms eligibility with you before you enroll.
The money-back guarantee: what it really covers
The guarantee is the biggest reason to pay bootcamp prices, so read the terms before you pay. Springboard’s guarantee page sets out how it works: you agree your eligibility with an admissions director before enrolling, you get career coaching after the course, and if you complete all program requirements on time and still do not secure a qualifying position within the job search period, you can get a full refund.
The basic eligibility criteria are where most readers should pause:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Being 18 or older and legally eligible to work in the US (or in Canada for roles in Toronto).
- Being able to pass background checks for the jobs you apply to.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Springboard waives this only for its Software Engineering, Cybersecurity and Tech Sales tracks, so it applies to Data Analytics.
On top of these, Springboard lists the milestones your career coach will hold you to. To stay eligible you must complete the curriculum within the set time frame and pass the career modules, apply to a minimum number of qualifying positions every week, build a professional network online or in person, and send Springboard weekly summaries of your job search activity. Miss one and your eligibility can end, even if you finish the course. The exact numbers are in the Data Analytics terms, so read them before you enroll.
So the guarantee is real protection for an eligible student who does the work, and no protection at all for someone without a degree or US work eligibility. Career services remain available either way.
What students say
Springboard holds a 3.5 out of 5 TrustScore from 360 reviews on Trustpilot (8 October 2026), covering all its programs. The pattern in recent reviews is consistent. Positive reviews praise the curriculum structure and, above all, the support from mentors and career coaches. Negative reviews cluster around grading friction on assignments, a sales process some felt was pushy or slow to show the full price, and doubts about job outcomes.
Springboard publishes outcome figures, and each one is worth reading closely. It advertises a $17,000 average salary increase for data analytics students, counting only those who provided pre- and post-course salaries (December 2023). Across all its career tracks it reports an 85.6% 12-month job placement rate, defined as the share of “job-qualified individuals who reported an offer” who received it within 12 months of graduation. Neither is an independently audited outcomes report: students who drop out, or who never report back, are not in the numbers. Use them as Springboard’s claims, not as your odds.
Is a data analyst career worth the investment?
A bootcamp only pays off if the job at the end is worth having. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics does not track “data analyst” as its own occupation, so the closest official figures come from the occupations analyst roles usually fall under (2025 median pay, projected growth 2025 to 2035):
| Occupation (BLS) | Median pay, 2025 | Projected growth, 2025–35 |
|---|---|---|
| Operations research analysts | $88,940 | +12% |
| Market research analysts | $78,760 | +7% |
| Management analysts | $101,860 | +10% |
| Data scientists | $120,230 | +35% |
Every one of these is projected to grow faster than the 3.5% average for all occupations, and data science, the usual next step for an analyst who keeps building skills, is among the fastest-growing jobs BLS tracks. These are medians across all experience levels; entry-level analyst pay is lower, and many analyst jobs carry other titles, such as business analyst, reporting analyst or marketing analyst.
Against those numbers, $8,900 is recoverable within a year or two for someone who moves into an analyst role from a lower-paid job. The risk is not landing the role at all, which is the risk the guarantee covers for eligible students.
Pros and cons of the Springboard Data Analytics program
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| 1:1 mentor and career coach for the whole program | Costs $8,900 or more, many times the price of a certificate course |
| 33 mini-projects and 2 capstones build a real portfolio | Guarantee requires a degree and strict milestones |
| Money-back guarantee for eligible students | Python coverage is lighter than in data science programs |
| Part-time and online, so you can keep your job | Assignment grading can involve repeated resubmissions |
| Built with Microsoft; Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau and AI units | Not accredited; no academic credit |

Questions to ask Springboard before you enroll
Admissions calls are the time to get the guarantee and payment details in writing. These questions cover what matters most:
- Am I eligible for the money-back guarantee, and can you send me the current Data Analytics terms?
- Which payment plans keep me eligible for the guarantee, and how does the OC1000SB discount combine with the upfront price?
- What exactly counts as a qualifying role, and how long is the job search period?
- What do I have to do during the job search to stay eligible?
- How often will I meet my mentor, and can I change mentors if it is not working?
- If I start with Foundations to Core, does that change my start date, my price or my guarantee?
- What happens to my tuition if I need to pause or withdraw partway through?
A good admissions advisor will answer all of these clearly. If the answers are vague, treat that as information too.
Conclusion: is the Springboard Data Analytics Bootcamp worth it?
For the right student, yes. If you are a working professional moving into data analytics, you hold a degree and US work eligibility, and you know you need a mentor and deadlines to finish, the bootcamp gives you structure, a portfolio of 35 projects, career coaching and a refund if the job search fails. At $8,900 upfront, less with our reader code, that is a reasonable price for a guided career change with a safety net.
For everyone else, the math is harder to justify. The tools are the same ones the Google certificate and Udacity teach for a fraction of the cost, and without guarantee eligibility you carry the full risk of the price. Start with a cheaper course, and come back to Springboard if you find you need the structure.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Springboard Data Analytics Bootcamp worth it?
It is worth it for a working professional who wants a structured, mentored path into a data analyst role and can use the money-back guarantee, which requires a bachelor’s degree and US work eligibility among other conditions. If you are learning casually, or you do not qualify for the guarantee, a subscription certificate course teaches the core skills for far less.
How much does the Springboard Data Analytics Bootcamp cost?
The list price is $11,300. Paying upfront brings it to $8,900, the month-to-month plan is $1,798 a month for up to six months (about $10,788 in total), and a Climb Credit loan spreads $11,300 plus interest over about three years for US residents. OnlineCourseing readers get $1,000 off with the code OC1000SB.
How long does the Springboard Data Analytics Bootcamp take?
Springboard describes it as a six-month program for students putting in 10 to 15 hours a week. That is roughly 260 to 390 hours of study across the course.
Does Springboard guarantee a job?
Not a job, a refund. If you complete all course and job search requirements on time and do not get a qualifying role within the job search period, you may be eligible for a full refund. You must meet the eligibility criteria before enrolling, including a bachelor’s degree, being 18 or older, legal eligibility to work in the US and the ability to pass employer background checks.
Do I need experience to join?
Springboard asks for strong problem-solving skills and two years of professional work using Office or programming tools. If you have never worked with data, it offers a Foundations to Core program at no extra cost before the main curriculum.
Is Springboard accredited?
Springboard is a private bootcamp, not an accredited college, so the bootcamp does not award academic credit or a degree. Employers judge bootcamp graduates mainly on their portfolio and interview skills, which is why the projects matter more than the certificate.
What tools does the bootcamp teach?
Springboard’s sample units cover Microsoft Excel, data visualization in Tableau with optional Microsoft Power BI, SQL for pulling data from relational databases, Python for cleaning data, and newer AI-for-data units, finishing with two capstone projects.
Are Springboard courses free?
No. The Data Analytics Bootcamp costs $8,900 upfront or $11,300 on other plans. The free part is the Foundations to Core program, which Springboard includes at no extra cost for students who need to build basics before the main curriculum. Springboard also publishes free articles and resources, but the mentored bootcamp is paid.
Should I choose Springboard’s Data Analytics or Data Science bootcamp?
Choose Data Analytics if you want to answer business questions with Excel, SQL, Tableau and some Python, which is the most common entry route into data work. Choose Data Science if you are already comfortable with Python and want machine learning and statistical modeling. Both are on Springboard’s list of programs covered by its money-back guarantee.
Is a bootcamp better than learning data analytics on my own?
Not for everyone. The core skills are the same either way; what a bootcamp adds is a mentor, deadlines, career coaching and, here, a refund if the job search fails. Self-learners who can stay on track can reach the same skills for a few hundred dollars.
