Most Udacity coupon pages are lists of dead codes: 75% flash sales, Black Friday codes from years ago, one-month free trials that no longer exist. This page does the opposite. It lists only the discounts that work on the day we checked, explains how Udacity’s pricing and promotions actually behave, and shows you how to avoid paying more than you need to. Working Udacity coupon codes and discounts (September 2026)

These are the offers we could verify on 16 September 2026. Udacity changes its promotions often, so check the date above and confirm the discount on the checkout summary before you pay.

Which should you use?

On 16 September the two 40% offers were the same size. Udacity’s help centre says a coupon code “can only be applied once,” so do not expect to combine them, and we have not confirmed how Udacity’s checkout treats a code in the page address when a public sale is also running. The rule that protects you is simple: look at the total on the checkout page, and use whichever discount produces the lower number. If Udacity is running a sitewide sale bigger than 40%, remove any code and take the sale.

What Udacity costs before any discount

Udacity’s main way to pay is now a subscription to its whole catalog, which it describes as “500+ courses,” and you work through whichever Nanodegree programs you want while you are subscribed. Udacity’s checkout help describes two options:

Here is what the 40% discounts do to those prices, as simple arithmetic. Udacity’s offer page does not say how many billing periods the 40% covers, so check the checkout summary for the exact figure and for what you will pay when the discount ends.

Monthly or the 4-month bundle: the break-even

At list price, four months on the monthly plan cost $996 ($249 × 4) against $846 for the bundle, so the bundle saves $150 if you really use all four months. The catch is the other direction. If you finish in three months, the monthly plan costs $747, which is $99 less than the bundle, and you can cancel as soon as you graduate. Two months costs $498. The bundle only wins if you are confident a program will take you the full four months or longer.

Two more things change the calculation. First, the refund window is 7 days from your first purchase whichever plan you choose, so the bundle ties up more money if you discover in week two that the program is wrong for you. Second, once the bundle’s four months end, Udacity’s terms say it renews at the non-discounted monthly rate, so set a reminder to cancel if you are done. For most first-time learners, the monthly plan with a 40% discount is the lower-risk way to start.

How to apply a Udacity coupon code

These are the steps from Udacity’s own redemption guide, updated August 2026:

• Go to Udacity’s catalog and open the Nanodegree program or course you want.
• Click Enroll Now, then choose the access plan you prefer (monthly or the 4-month bundle).
• Sign in, or enter your email to create an account if you are new.
• On the checkout page, type your code under Add Discount Code and apply it. A code can only be applied once.
• Check the total, complete checkout, and start the onboarding steps.

How Udacity promotions actually work

A few rules from Udacity’s help centre explain most of the confusion around its coupons:

• Udacity says it does not offer discounts directly. Its help article on discounts says promotional offers arrive “via email” once you have an account, so staying subscribed to Udacity’s marketing emails is the most reliable way to hear about a sale.
• Promotions are time-sensitive and cannot be deferred. Udacity states that promotions “only apply for new enrollments during that promotional period” and that it does “not support deferments.” If you want a sale price, you have to start during the sale.
• Countdown banners are not always literal. Udacity’s “Final hours” banner for its 50% sale stayed up for about a week in early September 2026. Treat a countdown as a prompt to check the price, not as proof the offer ends tonight.
• Discounts usually cover the first months, not forever. The early-September sale applied to the first 4 months, after which plans “are converted to month-to-month.” Budget for the full price once a discount runs out.

Does Udacity have a free trial?

Only in some countries. Udacity’s free-trial article, updated August 2026, says the 7-day free trial is “only available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, and United Kingdom.” It is not offered in the United States. Where it is available, you must enter payment details, Udacity may place a temporary $10 pre-authorization hold, and the trial rolls into a paid monthly subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Udacity says it does not refund a trial you forgot to cancel.

The one-month free access that older coupon pages still advertise is no longer offered.

Udacity’s refund policy: your real safety net

Because codes change, the refund policy matters more than any single discount. Udacity’s Terms of Use (last updated January 16, 2026) set these rules:

• 7 days from your initial purchase of a subscription or a single Nanodegree program to cancel for a full refund (14 days for EU residents), unless you graduate within that window.
• The refund applies to your first month only. Renewals and re-enrollments do not get a new refund window.
• Only one refund per student. If you cancel, get a refund and come back, you are not entitled to another.
• After the window, cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the billing period, but you get no refund for that period.
• The one-time $199 enrollment fee for Udacity’s master’s programs is non-refundable.

A practical approach: start on the monthly plan with the best discount available, use the first week to confirm the program suits you, and only then think about committing to a longer bundle.

Free ways to learn on Udacity

Udacity still publishes free courses, listed in its course catalog. The trade-off is that they come with no certificate: Udacity’s help centre compares free courses to a textbook, available to read but without any verification that you finished. Udacity scholarships in 2026

Udacity’s help centre says it does not award scholarships to individuals; scholarships run as programs with sponsors. On 16 September 2026, Udacity’s scholarships page listed one open program: AWS AI & ML Scholars, sponsored by AWS and open to learners aged 18 or older, with three tracks (Future AWS AI Programmer, Future AWS Agentic AI Business Professional and Future AWS Agent Engineer). The page also has a “Notify Me” form for future programs.

Older scholarship programs that coupon sites still link to, including the Bertelsmann Tech Scholarships, Blacks in Technology and the SUSE Cloud Native Foundations scholarship, are no longer open; their Udacity pages now redirect to the general scholarships page or the homepage.

Student, military and Black Friday discounts

• Student discount: Udacity does not publish a student discount. Its help centre says it does not offer discounts directly and points to promotional emails instead. Students are better served by the 40% offers above or a scholarship.
• Military discount: Udacity’s help centre has no article on a military or veteran discount, and we found no such offer on its site.
• Black Friday and seasonal sales: Udacity runs time-limited sitewide sales several times a year; the most recent we saw was 50% off in early September 2026. No Black Friday 2026 offer had been announced when we checked. The fastest way to catch one is to be on Udacity’s email list, since its promotions cannot be claimed after they end.
• Through your employer: if your company has Udacity for Business, you may get access at no cost to you, but Udacity’s terms say consumer discounts do not apply to enterprise-sponsored accounts.

Is a Udacity subscription worth it at a discount?

At 40% off, the monthly plan is about $149 a month; if the discount covers each month you use, a program finished in three or four months lands between roughly $450 and $600, and more if the discount ends sooner. That is more than a Coursera Plus subscription and much less than a bootcamp.
