365 Data Science Review (2026): Is It Worth It?

Last updated: October 2026. Written by Josh Hutcheson. See our review methodology.

QUICK VERDICT

Bottom line (4.0 / 5): 365 Data Science is one of the cheapest structured routes into data analysis and data science: $29 a month on the annual plan buys 134 courses, 51 projects and 12 guided career tracks, and there is a real free plan and a 30-day refund. It is weaker on in-browser coding practice than DataCamp, its certificates carry less weight with recruiters than a Google or IBM certificate, and its Trustpilot score leans on invited reviews. For a self-starter who wants a clear order of study on a budget, it earns its price.

Best for: beginners and career-switchers who want a sequenced path into analytics or data science.
Pricing (read 22 October 2026): Free; Self-Study $29/month billed annually ($348 a year) or $36 month to month; Lifetime and Bootcamp on request.
Skip it if: you want heavy interactive coding (DataCamp) or a credential employers recognize at a glance (Coursera).

365 Data Science is an online school for data analysis, data science and, increasingly, AI. Instead of a catalog of unrelated courses, it organizes its library into career tracks: ordered programs for roles such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Business Analyst, AI Engineer, Power BI Developer and Tableau Developer. Each track starts with the foundations most beginners skip (statistics, probability, Excel, SQL) and moves into Python, visualization, machine learning and projects.

The company is backed by Bulgarian venture investors (its About page names Vitosha Venture Partners and the New Vision 3 Fund) and sells to individual learners worldwide. On 22 October 2026 its pricing page listed 134 courses, 51 projects and 12 career tracks in the paid plan. It also sells a separate AI and Data Science Bootcamp with mentoring and a job guarantee, priced on request.

What You Actually Get

The paid Self-Study plan is the product most readers are deciding on. Here is what each plan included when we read the pricing page:

Plan Price (22 Oct 2026) What it includes
Free $0, no card Course previews, 51 projects, interactive exercises, practice exams, career resources, 1 AI mock interview
Self-Study (annual) $29/month, billed annually ($348) All 134 courses, 12 career tracks, certificates, AI mock interviews, portfolio feedback, community channels, price lock
Self-Study (monthly) $36/month Same access, cancel any month
Lifetime Price on request Everything in Self-Study plus future courses, no renewals, CPE credits
AI and Data Science Bootcamp Price on request Self-Study plus mentoring, career coaching, a job guarantee and job-search support
  • Career tracks are the headline feature. The Data Scientist track runs about 69 hours of courses (statistics, probability, mathematics, Python, machine learning) and the Data Analyst track covers Excel, statistics, Python, SQL and data preprocessing.
  • Courses are short video lessons, typically 2 to 5 hours per course, with downloadable notes, quizzes and a course exam. Examples range from Introduction to Tableau to Deep Learning with TensorFlow 2.
  • Projects use real datasets, and all 51 are open even on the free plan, which is unusually generous.
  • Exams and certificates: each course and track ends in an exam, and passing it issues a certificate you can verify online.

The Learning Experience

Lessons are short, studio-recorded videos with a calm, explain-it-simply style that suits true beginners. Each course pairs the videos with notes, datasets and knowledge checks, so you are tested as you go. The sequencing is the strongest part: a track starts with the statistics and probability that self-taught learners tend to skip, then moves through Excel and SQL to Python, modeling and machine learning.

The hands-on part asks more of you than DataCamp does. 365 Data Science has interactive exercises in the browser, but the larger projects run in your own Python environment (Jupyter or Anaconda). That is closer to real work and gives you portfolio pieces, at the cost of a setup step on day one. Recent reviewers also point to two gaps: there are no downloadable transcripts or PDF summaries for many courses, and some older courses lean on Excel more than a Python-first learner would like.

The 365 Data Science Certificate

365 Data Science now describes its certificates as “accredited”, and that word needs unpacking, because it is not the same as a university degree or a regionally accredited college credit. On 22 October 2026 the site listed three bodies:

  • The Institute of Analytics, which the site calls a leading professional body for data analysts and says has endorsed selected courses.
  • The European Agency for Higher Education & Accreditation (EAHEA), which the site says accredited its bootcamp and courses.
  • NASBA, the US association of state accountancy boards: 365 Data Science is a registered sponsor of continuing professional education (CPE). That matters if you are a CPA who needs CPE hours; state boards decide which courses they accept.

Our read: the certificates are verifiable and better than a plain completion badge, and the CPE status is useful for accountants. But a hiring manager is far more likely to recognize a Google or IBM certificate on Coursera, and none of these endorsements turns a 365 certificate into academic credit. Treat the certificate as supporting evidence; the projects you build are what get you interviews.

365 Data Science Pricing

Pricing is simple, and it is the platform’s biggest selling point. The annual Self-Study plan works out to $29 a month ($348 a year); the monthly plan is $36. The free plan needs no card and is more than a teaser, because the projects and exercises are open.

The refund terms are worth reading before you buy. On the Self-Study plan you can email team@365datascience.com within 30 days of your last payment for a full refund; refunds take 3 to 10 business days and your account drops back to the free plan (your progress is kept). That 30-day window runs from each payment, so it also covers a monthly renewal you forgot to cancel. The site also offers a price lock on the annual plan and a “learning break” to pause your subscription.

PRICE NOTE

365 Data Science runs frequent discounts on the annual plan, so the price you see may be lower than the $29 a month we read on 22 October 2026. We do not have a working coupon code; the discounts are applied on the site itself.

The AI and Data Science Bootcamp and its job guarantee

Above the Self-Study plan sits the AI and Data Science Bootcamp, which adds mentoring, career coaching, portfolio feedback, live workshops and a job guarantee: if you complete the required steps and do not land a qualifying job in the stated period, you can claim a full refund. The price and the exact conditions are only given on a call, so we cannot compare it fairly with other bootcamps. Before you sign, ask for the guarantee terms in writing, including which job titles count and how long you have.

The site also quotes outcome figures (for example, that 9 in 10 graduates landed a new job and an average salary increase of $29,000). These are the company’s own numbers without a published method, so we treat them as marketing rather than evidence. For bootcamps that publish audited outcomes, see our guide to coding bootcamps.

What Learners Say

365 Data Science holds 4.8 out of 5 from 875 Trustpilot reviews (22 October 2026). Two cautions apply: the company has claimed its profile and pays for a Trustpilot subscription, and about half of the 72 most recent reviews we read are marked “Redirected”, meaning the reviewer was invited by the company. Invited reviews are allowed, but they skew positive.

Reading those 72 recent reviews (November 2025 to October 2026) plus every 1- to 3-star review, the themes were consistent:

  • Praised: clear explanations that make statistics and machine learning approachable, short well-structured lessons, and the practice exercises. Beginners repeatedly say they could follow along line by line.
  • Criticized: some content feels dated, there are no downloadable transcripts or PDF summaries for many courses, resources are bundled at the end of a course rather than beside each lesson, and some learners wanted less Excel and more code.
  • Older complaints (2020 to 2022) were about the subscription model expiring and about the volume of one-review accounts praising the platform; we did not see that second pattern in the recent reviews.

On Reddit, the few threads we found were mildly positive: learners who use several platforms tend to rate 365 Data Science for in-depth explanations and Dataquest or DataCamp for coding practice, and one reviewer singled out its SQL, Excel and statistics courses as strong but its Power BI DAX material as weaker.

How We Scored It

We score platform reviews on five criteria, weighted equally, using what we could verify on the platform’s own pages and in recent learner reviews. We did not complete a paid track for this update.

Criterion Score Why
Curriculum structure 4.5 12 sequenced career tracks; foundations before tools
Value for money 4.5 $29/month annual, a usable free plan, 30-day refund
Hands-on practice 3.5 Exercises and 51 projects, but less in-browser coding than DataCamp
Credential weight 3.0 Verifiable and endorsed, but not a university or big-tech brand
Learner sentiment 4.5 4.8/5 on Trustpilot, discounted for invited reviews
Overall 4.0 Average of the five

Pros and Cons

What we like

  • The career tracks remove the “what do I learn next?” problem that stalls most self-taught learners.
  • One of the cheapest complete curricula in the category at $29 a month on the annual plan.
  • A free plan that includes projects and exercises, plus a 30-day refund on paid plans.
  • NASBA CPE sponsorship, useful for accountants moving into analytics.

What could be better

  • Less interactive, in-browser coding than DataCamp; bigger projects need your own setup.
  • Certificates are endorsed but not recognized the way a Google or IBM certificate is.
  • No downloadable transcripts or summaries on many courses; some material is dated.
  • Bootcamp pricing and job-guarantee terms are only available on a call.

How It Compares

Platform Price (Oct 2026) Best at Weaker at
365 Data Science $29/mo annual, $36 monthly Structured tracks, value In-browser practice, brand
DataCamp $35/mo, or about $330/yr list (often half price) Interactive coding reps Depth, project realism
Coursera (Google, IBM) about $49/mo per certificate; Coursera Plus yearly: $319.20 (normally $399) Recognized certificates One guided path
Udacity $125 a month Human project reviews Price

vs. DataCamp: DataCamp gives you more guided keyboard time in the browser; 365 gives you a clearer end-to-end roadmap and is usually cheaper on the annual plan. Pick DataCamp for reps and 365 for structure and price. Our DataCamp alternatives guide covers the wider field.

vs. Coursera: a Google or IBM certificate carries more recruiter recognition and covers similar ground, but it costs more per month and is less of a single guided path. If the credential’s name matters most, choose Coursera; see our best Coursera data science courses.

vs. Udacity: Udacity’s Nanodegrees include human review of every project, which 365 does not, at several times the monthly price. vs. Dataquest: Dataquest is the stronger choice for writing code from day one; see DataCamp vs Dataquest for how the code-first platforms compare.

Who Should Use 365 Data Science?

Choose 365 Data Science if you are a beginner or career-switcher who wants a clear, affordable roadmap and the discipline of a sequenced track, especially for data analyst roles. It is also a sensible pick for accountants who want analytics skills and CPE credit at the same time. Look elsewhere if you learn best by typing code in the browser from minute one (DataCamp or Dataquest), or if a recognized certificate is the main thing you are paying for (Coursera). For every major option side by side, see our guide to the best data science courses.

Can You Get 365 Data Science for Free?

Partly. The free plan opens every course preview, all 51 projects, the interactive exercises and practice exams, without a card, and that is enough to learn a lot and to judge the teaching. The full courses, career tracks and certificates need the paid plan. Searches for a “free download” of the paid courses lead to pirated copies, which are often out of date and can carry malware; the free plan and the 30-day refund are the safe ways to try it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 365 Data Science worth it?

For beginners who want a structured, budget-friendly path into data analysis or data science, yes. At $29 a month on the annual plan (read 22 October 2026) the career tracks and projects are strong value. It is less compelling if you need heavy interactive coding or a credential employers recognize at a glance.

Is 365 Data Science free?

There is a free plan with no card required. It includes course previews, all 51 projects, interactive exercises and practice exams. Full courses, career tracks and certificates need the Self-Study plan at $29 a month billed annually or $36 month to month.

Is the 365 Data Science certificate accredited?

365 Data Science says its certificates are accredited and lists the Institute of Analytics, the European Agency for Higher Education and Accreditation and NASBA, which registers it as a CPE sponsor. That makes the certificates verifiable and useful for CPE, but they are not university degrees or college credit.

Does 365 Data Science offer a refund?

Yes. On the Self-Study plan you can email team@365datascience.com within 30 days of your last payment for a full refund. Your account returns to the free plan and your progress is kept.

365 Data Science vs DataCamp: which is better?

365 Data Science is better for a guided, sequenced curriculum and is usually cheaper on the annual plan. DataCamp is better for interactive coding practice in the browser. Pick 365 for structure and price, DataCamp for coding repetitions.

How long does the 365 Data Science Data Scientist track take?

The Data Scientist career track lists about 69 hours of courses. At 5 to 10 hours a week that is roughly two to four months, and longer if you complete the optional projects.

Can 365 Data Science get you a job?

It can give you the skills and a portfolio, but no course gets you hired on its own. The company publishes high outcome figures without a method, so judge it on what you will build. Its separate Bootcamp adds mentoring and a job guarantee with terms given on a call.
