Pluralsight sells one thing — a subscription to its course library — but slices it five ways, and the differences are real money: the gap between Core Tech and Complete is $216 a year on annual billing. The decision for most individual learners is simple: Core Tech if you mainly need software-development and IT content, Complete if you want the full AI, cloud, data, and security catalog plus both kinds of sandbox, and one of the specialized “+” plans if you live in a single domain. Below is exactly what each plan costs, what each one includes, what the business tiers charge, and the legitimate ways to pay less.

Prices are the US rates on Pluralsight’s pricing pages on 22 October 2026 and can change; the page shows its own currency for some regions, so check the live page before subscribing. The yearly toggle is labeled “Save 30%”, which matches the math: $21 against $30, $24.50 against $35, and $39 against $55.
Core Tech ($21/month): the default choice
Core Tech is the plan most individual subscribers should start with. At $21/month billed yearly (~$252/year), it covers the core library of 3,900+ courses in software development, IT operations, product & UX and business skills, plus Skill IQ assessments, certification courses and curated learning paths. If your learning looks like “get better at C#, learn Kubernetes basics, brush up on networking,” everything you need lives here.
Core Tech is no longer the “videos only” tier it used to be. Pluralsight’s plan comparison now gives it hands-on labs, the in-browser instant terminal and pre-configured cloud servers. What it does not include is the specialist AI, cloud, data and security libraries, and the two kinds of sandbox: cloud sandboxes (throwaway AWS, Azure and GCP accounts) and AI sandboxes (environments such as Azure AI Foundry and AWS Bedrock). If you need either of those, you need a “+” plan or Complete.
AI+, Cloud+, Data+, Security+ ($24.50/month): one domain, hands-on
The four “+” plans are Core Tech plus one specialist library, at $24.50/month billed yearly (~$294/year) or $35 month to month. They are not identical underneath, and the difference is the sandboxes:
| Plan | Extra library | Extra hands-on layer |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud+ | Cloud, including every former A Cloud Guru course | Cloud sandboxes (AWS, Azure, GCP) |
| AI+ | AI and machine learning | AI sandboxes |
| Data+ | Data science (1,400+ courses) | None beyond Core Tech’s labs, terminal and servers |
| Security+ | Cybersecurity | None beyond Core Tech’s labs, terminal and servers |
Cloud+ is the natural pick for AWS, Azure or GCP certification prep, because practicing in a real cloud account without risking your own bill is the point. Data+ and Security+ are library upgrades rather than hands-on upgrades. The math is straightforward: a “+” plan costs $3.50/month more than Core Tech and $14.50/month less than Complete on annual billing. If exactly one specialist domain matters to you, it is the best value on the price list. If you expect to hop between two or more domains within the year, Complete is cheaper than juggling plans.
Complete ($39/month): the all-access plan
Complete is the plan Pluralsight itself flags as most popular: $39/month billed yearly (~$468/year) for the entire 6,500+ course catalog — every domain, every lab, every sandbox. It is the right call for consultants and generalists who genuinely work across domains, for anyone chasing multiple cloud certifications in a year, and for people who know they will use the sandboxes heavily (spinning up throwaway AWS/Azure environments without risking your own bill is worth real money by itself).
Be honest with yourself about usage, though. Complete costs $216/year more than Core Tech, and most individual learners never exhaust Core Tech’s catalog. Start lower and upgrade the day you hit a wall — Pluralsight lets you move up mid-subscription.
How much does Pluralsight cost per month?
It depends on how you pay. The advertised $21, $24.50 and $39 are billed-yearly rates: you pay ~$252, ~$294 or ~$468 up front and the monthly figure is the effective rate. Month-to-month billing is listed on the same pricing page at $30 for Core Tech, $35 for each “+” plan and $55 for Complete.
| Plan | Pay monthly for 12 months | Pay yearly | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core Tech | $360 | ~$252 | ~$108 |
| AI+, Cloud+, Data+, Security+ | $420 | ~$294 | ~$126 |
| Complete | $660 | ~$468 | ~$192 |
If you expect to study for more than about eight months of the year, annual billing is cheaper. If your learning comes in short bursts, one or two months at the monthly rate beats a year you will not use. One thing Pluralsight does not sell: a lifetime subscription. Any “Pluralsight lifetime deal” you see advertised on a third-party site is not an official product.
Pluralsight business & team pricing
Team pricing runs on a different sheet. The self-serve Teams plan is $47 per user per month, billed annually, for teams of 2 to 20 people. Pluralsight lists 6,500+ courses, 2,500+ hands-on labs, 900+ learning paths, cloud and AI sandboxes, Skill IQ and Role IQ assessments, and access to its AI MCP integration, plus the analytics managers actually buy it for. Above 20 seats, Enterprise pricing is a custom quote: it adds custom cloud sandboxes, a dedicated account team and flexible payment, with single sign-on, onboarding and instructor-led training sold as optional professional services.
Two practical notes if you are buying for a team. First, $47/user/month (~$564/user/year) is more than an individual Complete plan, and the premium buys the admin layer rather than more content. Second, if you are an employee rather than a manager, check whether your company already has seats before paying personally; corporate licenses are how a large share of Pluralsight’s audience actually reaches it. Legacy team plans have been moving to Enterprise at renewal, and Pluralsight says anyone paying more than $565 per license a year is brought down to $565.
What every plan includes
Whichever tier you pick, some things come standard. Every individual plan includes Skill IQ assessments (short adaptive tests that place your level in a topic and are useful for deciding what to skip), certification courses, curated learning paths and channels, hands-on labs, the instant terminal and cloud servers, mobile and desktop apps with offline viewing, exercise files and completion certificates. Course quality does not vary by plan: a Core Tech subscriber watches the same production as a Complete subscriber. You are paying for catalog breadth and sandboxes, not a better version of the same course.
That leaves two real dividing lines between tiers: which libraries you can open (core only, core plus one specialist domain, or everything) and which sandboxes you get (none on Core Tech, Data+ and Security+; cloud on Cloud+; AI on AI+; both on Complete). Decide on those two and ignore the rest of the feature-matrix noise.
Upgrades, cancellation, and auto-renewal
Pluralsight subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly depending on how you signed up. Three rules from Pluralsight’s help center matter more than anything else on this page:
- No refunds on individual subscriptions. Pluralsight’s stated reason is that you can cancel at any time, so a renewal you forgot to cancel is not refunded.
- No reminder before a renewal. Pluralsight emails a reminder before a free trial converts, but says it does not send one before a paid subscription renews. Put the date in your own calendar.
- Canceling a paid plan keeps your access until the end of the term you paid for. Canceling a free trial ends your access to paid content immediately.
To cancel: Account settings → Subscription & Billing → Cancel, then confirm twice. Moving up is easier than moving down. Upgrading to Complete takes effect immediately with a one-time prorated discount for what you have already paid, and that upgrade is non-refundable; your renewal date resets to the day you upgrade. Switching between monthly and yearly billing does not change your current term; the new cycle starts at your next renewal. Pluralsight does not document a mid-term downgrade, which is one more argument for starting on the cheaper plan.
Looking for old prices? The lineup changed
If you last priced Pluralsight a couple of years ago, the plans you remember no longer exist. The old individual Standard and Premium plans were retired: Pluralsight moved those subscribers onto the new Complete plan in March 2025 and says they kept their legacy price (subscriptions bought inside the mobile app excepted). Complete includes what Premium had plus labs and sandboxes that used to be business-only. The other big change: A Cloud Guru, which Pluralsight acquired and long sold separately, no longer exists as a standalone product; its catalog lives inside Cloud+. On the business side, the old Starter and Professional team plans have been rolling into Enterprise at renewal. Articles that still quote Standard/Premium prices or a separate A Cloud Guru subscription are describing a price list that is gone.
How the free trial works (and its catches)
Every individual plan offers a 10-day free trial. With it you can watch the video courses, take Skill IQ assessments, build channels and earn certificates of completion. The catches, all from Pluralsight’s own trial terms:
- Hands-on features are mostly locked. Course downloads, offline viewing, the Hands-on Playground (terminal, servers, sandboxes) and full lab access are for paid subscribers, so you cannot test the feature that most separates the pricier plans.
- A card is required to start, and the trial converts to a paid subscription on day 11 unless you cancel. Pluralsight does send a reminder email before that first charge.
- Canceling ends access immediately, so cancel on day 9 or 10, not on day 1, if you want the full ten days.
- A promo trial converts at the promo price. If you start the trial through a promotion, it becomes a paid plan at that promotional rate.
Is there a free tier? Not of the paid library. A free Pluralsight Skills account stays open after you cancel and keeps your history, Skill IQ and Role IQ results and certificates, and Pluralsight’s help center refers to a “free limited library” on free accounts. The trial is the only way to try the paid catalog without paying.
How to get Pluralsight cheaper
- Pay annually. The yearly rates are about 30% below month-to-month.
- Wait for a promotion, and read its terms. Pluralsight runs promotional pricing from time to time. Its own FAQ says most promotions are for new subscriptions only, existing subscribers cannot renew early to catch one, a promotion may or may not repeat at renewal, and canceling removes it from your account.
- Use the trial deliberately. Ten days, timed for when you can actually study.
- Check your employer or school. Corporate Teams and Enterprise seats cover many learners at $0 personal cost.
- Match the plan to the need. Dropping from Complete to the one “+” plan you will actually use saves $174 a year on annual billing.

How Pluralsight’s price compares to other platforms
Pluralsight’s ~$252–$468/year range sits in the middle of the subscription market. Coursera Plus runs $239/year (normally $399) for a broader, university-flavored catalog with shareable certificates, the better pick when a credential matters more than hands-on tech depth (see our Coursera vs Pluralsight comparison). Udemy is not a subscription for most buyers: courses sell individually and are often heavily discounted, which is cheaper if you need two or three specific courses and pricier if you graze widely. DataCamp, the closest analog for the data domain, also bills annually; it was advertising Premium at $14 a month on 22 October 2026 during a promotion, so check its live price. The honest summary: Pluralsight’s premium over cheaper libraries buys assessments, structured paths, labs on every plan and, on Cloud+, AI+ and Complete, sandboxes that most rivals do not have. Our course pricing guide compares every major platform’s model in one place.
Which plan should you choose?
Choose Core Tech if your learning is mostly software development, IT operations, product or business skills; it now includes labs, so it is the best value for most developers. Choose Cloud+ for cloud-certification prep, since it carries the A Cloud Guru catalog and the cloud sandboxes. Choose AI+ if you want to build with cloud AI services in a sandbox, and Data+ or Security+ if you want that library and do not need sandboxes. Choose Complete if you work across domains or want both kinds of sandbox. Choose Teams only when you need the management layer. When in doubt, start on Core Tech; upgrading later takes minutes and is prorated. Still deciding whether any plan is worth it? Our full Pluralsight review weighs the library’s real strengths and weaknesses.
Is Pluralsight worth the cost?
For working developers and IT professionals, usually yes, with a condition. At ~$252/year, Core Tech pays for itself if you complete even a handful of courses you would otherwise buy individually, and the Skill IQ assessments, path structure and labs are things the cheapest alternatives lack. The condition: subscriptions only make sense while you are using them, and because Pluralsight does not refund renewals, an idle annual plan is money you will not see again. If your learning comes in short bursts a few times a year, buy individual courses on sale or take one month at $30 and cancel. Pluralsight is priced for consistent learners; be one, or buy differently.

Pluralsight plan features compared, side by side
Pluralsight’s comparison chart shows one plan at a time. Here is the whole thing in one table, read plan by plan on 22 October 2026:
| Feature | Core Tech | Data+ / Security+ | Cloud+ | AI+ | Complete |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core library (software dev, IT ops, product & UX, business) | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Specialist library | No | Data or security | Cloud | AI | All four |
| Hands-on labs | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Instant terminal and cloud servers | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Cloud sandboxes | No | No | Yes | No | Yes |
| AI sandboxes | No | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Skill assessments, certification courses, paths | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Price billed yearly | $21/mo | $24.50/mo | $24.50/mo | $24.50/mo | $39/mo |
Read it this way: the sandboxes are the only hands-on feature that differs between individual plans. If you do not need a disposable cloud or AI environment, the cheapest plan that contains your library is the right one.
Does Pluralsight offer refunds?
Not on individual subscriptions. Pluralsight’s renewal policy states that because you can cancel at any time, it does not offer refunds on individual subscriptions, and that it does not email a reminder before a renewal. Upgrades to Complete are also non-refundable. That is stricter than some rivals: Coursera, for comparison, gives 14 days to cancel an annual Coursera Plus purchase for a refund. The practical rules:
- Set your own reminder a week before your renewal date (Account settings → Subscription & Billing shows it).
- Cancel the moment you decide not to renew; you keep access to the end of the paid term anyway, so there is no reason to wait.
- During a free trial, cancel near the end rather than the start, because canceling a trial cuts access immediately.
- If you subscribed through Apple or Google, Pluralsight says to manage the subscription through that app store rather than your Pluralsight account settings.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Pluralsight cost?
Billed yearly, Core Tech is $21 a month (about $252 a year), each of the AI+, Cloud+, Data+ and Security+ plans is $24.50 a month (about $294 a year), and Complete is $39 a month (about $468 a year). Month to month, the same plans are $30, $35 and $55. Teams is $47 per user per month billed annually for 2 to 20 users. Every individual plan has a 10-day free trial.
What’s the difference between Core Tech and Complete?
Core Tech covers the 3,900+ course core library (software development, IT operations, product and UX, business skills) and includes hands-on labs. Complete opens all 6,500+ courses, including the AI, cloud, data and security libraries, and adds both cloud and AI sandboxes. Most individual developers are well served by Core Tech.
Is there a Pluralsight free trial?
Yes. Individual plans have a 10-day free trial that needs a card and converts to a paid plan on day 11 unless you cancel. Downloads, offline viewing, the Hands-on Playground and full labs are not included in the trial, and canceling a trial ends access immediately.
Does Pluralsight give refunds?
No, not on individual subscriptions. Pluralsight says that because you can cancel at any time it does not refund individual subscriptions, and it does not send a reminder before a renewal. Cancel before your renewal date; you keep access until the end of the term you paid for.
Which Pluralsight plans include sandboxes?
Cloud sandboxes come with Cloud+ and Complete. AI sandboxes come with AI+ and Complete. Core Tech, Data+ and Security+ include hands-on labs, the instant terminal and cloud servers, but no sandboxes. The Teams plan includes both kinds of sandbox.
How much is Pluralsight for a team or business?
The self-serve Teams plan is $47 per user per month billed annually for 2 to 20 users, with the full library, 2,500+ labs, cloud and AI sandboxes, and Skill IQ and Role IQ. Organizations above 20 seats get a custom Enterprise quote, with SSO and onboarding available as add-ons.
Is there a free version of Pluralsight?
Not of the paid library. A free Pluralsight Skills account keeps your history, assessment results and certificates after you cancel, and Pluralsight refers to a limited free library on free accounts, but the full catalog needs a paid plan or the 10-day trial.
How can I get Pluralsight cheaper?
Pay annually, which is about 30% below month to month; watch for promotions, which are mostly for new subscribers; use the free trial before committing; check whether your employer or school already has seats; and pick the one plan whose library you actually need.
Does Pluralsight still sell A Cloud Guru separately?
No. A Cloud Guru’s catalog is now part of Pluralsight’s Cloud+ plan ($24.50 a month billed yearly), which also includes AWS, Azure and GCP cloud sandboxes for hands-on certification prep.
