What happened to CareerFoundry?

CareerFoundry, the Berlin-based online bootcamp, went into insolvency in 2025 and closed in early 2026. Its own closure notice is explicit: “As part of insolvency proceedings, CareerFoundry has ceased operations as of February 28, 2026. No new courses are being offered, and existing programs are no longer being continued.”
- 1 October 2025: the Charlottenburg district court in Berlin opened insolvency proceedings for CareerFoundry GmbH (case 3610 IN 4586/25), with the company managing its own proceedings.
- January 2026: a court notice concerned the sale of the company’s intangible assets. CareerFoundry says its trademarks, learning content and certifications went to CF Training GmbH, which it describes as an independent company that will not continue CareerFoundry’s business.
- 28 February 2026: operations ceased.
WATCH OUT
Much of careerfoundry.com is still online and still advertises programs, mentors and a job guarantee. Those pages describe a company that no longer operates. Do not pay anyone for a CareerFoundry program, and treat any comparison that still recommends it, including earlier versions of this page, as out of date.
Springboard in 2026
Springboard, run by SlideRule Labs, Inc., still sells directly to individuals. Its tracks are part-time and online, and each student gets a mentor, a career coach and a student advisor. Tuition depends on the track and payment plan:

The money-back guarantee
Springboard’s guarantee page says eligibility is agreed with admissions before you enroll. You must complete every requirement on time, apply to a minimum number of qualifying jobs each week, build a network and report your activity weekly; if you still do not land a qualifying role within the job-search period, you get a refund. Most tracks require a bachelor’s degree, waived on Software Engineering and Cybersecurity for students with relevant experience, and Data Analytics asks for two years of relevant work experience.

Bottom line
With CareerFoundry closed, the choice is between Springboard and the other bootcamps still enrolling. Springboard is a strong option if you want a mentor and career coach and can commit 10 to 20 hours a week for six to nine months; pick a guarantee-eligible track if the refund terms matter to you, and use OC1000SB for $1,000 off.
