My Story: Ashley Brooks

Hii I am Ashley..

I fell in love with data.

I love a good story.

I love hearing people’s life stories. I love reading stories about fictional characters in fictional worlds.

But, most of all, I love the story that data tells. And the impact from that story can change lives.

I have an extensive background in Sales and Marketing, but I found that it just wasn’t something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Most of all, I wanted to actually make a difference.

During the pandemic, I came across an ad for Lambda School. I was already interested in data because I got to see the results from Google Analytics.

It was crazy being able to tell my clients how many red heads with blue eyes visited their website and where they converted from.

So, during a time when the world was hurting, I found a light that allowed me to pursue my passion.

Lambda has been an amazing journey. I have learned so many things about what it takes to be a Data Scientist and even about myself.
