Hello, world!
My name is Guneet Kaur. But, you can call me ‘G’!
I Live in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.
Currently, I work with global organizations as a research analyst in Corporate Finance, FinTech, Cryptocurrencies, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Blockchain & Cryptopedia Editor.
Along with this, there’s so much more that I know and do. Financial modeling, academic research, business analysis & valuation, training, content writing, and financial fraud are just a few areas of my expertise.
I am glad to share that I am one of the 30 recipients (no.5 in Line2) of the Certified AML FinTech Compliance Associate (CAFCA) scholarship initiative, offered by ACAMS and FINTRAIL.
Highly grateful for this opportunity and look forward to learn and grow????.
This is my current professional role, But talking about early life I had passion for the finance field from the beginning.
As an MSc graduate in Fintech and Computing (with distinction) from the University of Stirling in
Stirling, Scotland. Before my MSc, I completed my BBA and MBA back in India at Guru Nanak Dev
University.
Since completing my MSC, the learning hasn’t stopped. I’ve pursued three different certifications from
the Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI). The first was CFI’s Certified Banking & Credit Analyst
(CBCA)™. Then, Capital Market and Securities Analyst (CMSA®).
Finally, the Financial Modelling and Valuation Certification (FMVA®) & the learning is still not going to stop. You can call me a life-long learner!
I’m also a published author. My book is titled ‘The Magic of Compounding: Start Early, Grow Bigger’.
Other than that, I’ve published numerous conference papers.
I have quite a passion for research. It’s something I can do 24/7 — forget about 9 to 5! I’ve always loved
to dive deep and get answers.
Numbers, analysis, finance — these are just a few things that get my blood pumping.
I read up and study so much about these topics, especially finance, that sometimes my friends and colleagues call me “Wikipedia of Finance and FinTech”.
I believe that time is one of the most precious resources we have, and we shouldn’t take it for granted!
That’s why I’m always trying to make the most of all the time I have.
I do this by learning, upskilling, experimenting, conducting research, and widening my horizons.
